What is your favorite piece of career advice to give?
Be delusional. Apply to jobs even if you feel like you don’t meet 100% of the requirements. You may be the most qualified applicant they get, so take the chance.
What is one myth about job searching you’d love to bust?
That science majors need to go to grad school to have a “real career” or a high paying job.
What is one thing you wish every student knew about career planning?
You can start as early as freshman year to start career planning, and we love to meet with students even if they don’t have everything figured out.
Fun Fact
In 2022, I attended a Texas medical school for a year, but I realized this was not a career path I wanted for the rest of my life. Ironically, after not knowing what to do with my career, I became a career coach at CNS, and I love helping students every day.
