Use of AI Note-Taking and Assistive Bots During Appointments
To help create a comfortable, confidential, and productive advising environment, the CNS Career Services Office asks that students do not use AI note-taking applications, meeting assistants, recording bots, or other third-party assistive technologies during appointments.
These tools can affect the open and candid nature of advising conversations and may raise privacy concerns for both students and staff. Our goal is to provide a space where students feel comfortable discussing career goals, challenges, and personal circumstances.
For virtual appointments conducted via Zoom, career coaches can record the meeting upon student request. The recording and/or transcript can be provided to the student following the appointment. Students may also take their own written notes during the session.
If you believe you need an accommodation related to a disability, please let us know before your appointment so we can work with you to identify an appropriate solution that supports your needs while maintaining the privacy and integrity of the advising experience.
Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful and confidential environment for all participants.
